Thinking of the French Quarter in New Orleans often brings to mind Mardi Gras – lots of amazing music, food, and bead throwing! The excitement of the city is palpable 365 days a year.
The energy of NOLA is unparalleled, however everyone eventually needs to wind down. I can think of no other place than the serenity of Dauphine Orleans Hotel.
Located in the heart of the city but situated to insure that each guests gets quiet, peaceful downtime, the hotel offers exceptional amenities and a staff that makes guests feel like royalty.
I never get tired of staying with the New Orleans Hotel Collection of boutique hotels and this time was no different.
Pulling up to the quaint hotel I was met with a smiling doorman who immediately had a joke for me! I love that…love when you immediately feel at home in a new place.
I stayed in one of the Herman House guest rooms. Located across the street from the main hotel, my king room overlooked a beautiful courtyard that immediately reminded me of what New Orleans must have been like a hundred years ago.
My room was comfortable with lush linens, a Jacuzzi bathtub perfect for soaking away the day, and lovely bathrobes to snuggle in afterwards.
The beautiful landscaping and sitting areas outside my room are lovingly cared for and make for a fantastic place to lounge with a drink and enjoy some downtime.
The amenities the hotel offers are wonderful considering its reasonable prices. Free Wi-Fi, continental breakfast, and a free welcome drink at Mae Bailey’s Place, the quirky bar next to the hotel’s entrance, are just a few of the perks of staying at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel.
I can’t say enough about my stay at this awesome hotel and would highly recommend it when visiting the iconic city. The Dauphine Orleans Hotel is situated perfectly so walking to all the great sights of the city is extremely easy.
Whether you’re in NOLA for Mardi Gras, a special occasion, weekend getaway, or a solo trip like I was, staying at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel or any of the hotels in the New Orleans Hotel Collection is a must. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll find yourself coming back time and time again!
