“WHY?!” was the question I was asked when I told people that I was heading to Cleveland, Ohio.

I’ll be honest, I initially had doubts about my visit, especially because it was March and the weather wasn’t going to be so great.

But, I decided to put those fears behind me and give it all a chance…boy am I happy I did. Here’s my account of The Westin Cleveland – This Girl Was Seriously Pampered.

The Westin Cleveland – This Girl Was Seriously Pampered

My first day started with a check in at The Westin Cleveland Downtown. As soon as I walked into the lobby I realized this was going to be a pretty cool trip.

The eclectic art strategically placed in the seating areas were welcoming and added an air of adventure and luxury to my check-in process. Which, by the way took less than 5 minutes.

Welcoming and helpful staff was everywhere; it was a nice change from those places where you have to hunt someone down to find your room.

My room was ready early and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was given club access and a beautiful room on the 22nd floor overlooking the river.

If you follow me regularly, you know how much I love a comfortable bed. When I walked into my room I saw it had everything I could possibly need and the king sized bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get out the next morning.

My never-ending desire to explore had me out and about to try and discover what I could get up to while visiting the city of Cleveland.

The Westin couldn’t be located in a better part of the city. Whatever it is you like to do when you’re visiting a popular city, you’ll find it within walking distance of the hotel.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Playhouse Square, and Progressive Field are literally RIGHT THERE!

But let’s just say that you don’t want to leave the hotel, The Westin makes it easy to stay in!

The in house Starbucks is full service so if you’re looking for an early morning coffee before heading out to explore the city you’ll find the smiling face of a staff member happy to make you a coffee at 5:30 AM.

If a full breakfast menu is what you’re craving then get ready for an awesome experience either in your room or at Urban Farmer Steakhouse, the in house restaurant.

Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM. The menu is extensive (check it out here) and let me tell you the chefs leave no stone unturned when it comes to preparation.

Regardless of your dietary needs, you’re going to be treated like royalty. Try the Protein Bowl…TO. DIE. FOR!!

Lunch and dinner are no different. You all know what a foodie I am and I was blown away by some of their dishes. Their version of Shrimp and Grits was so good!!

The treats just kept coming and coming; I discovered the hotel offers “Crafted At Westin” a mixology program both alcoholic and non for those who want to try their hand at some pretty unique drinks.

After you’ve indulged in all the wonderful food and drinks there’s no need to feel guilty, you’ll be happy to know that the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio has state of the art equipment for you to work off all those calories.

I was so impressed with the studio’s cleanliness and number of different machines that were available.

Don’t worry if you forget your workout gear…the innovative minds behind the Westin Hotel have taken care of that for you as well. For $5.00 you can get clean workout apparel, shoes, and new socks. All you have to do is leave the gear in your room when you check out.

The hotel also offers guided group runs…come on, how easy does it get?

There’s one thing that keeps me coming back over and over to a particular hotel or restaurant and that’s the service and staff. Regardless how well known a name is, what makes a visit an experience is how I’m treated.

Yes, I was sponsored at The Westin, but not everyone there knew that. From housekeeping to the doormen, everyone was gregarious, kind, and eager to help.

Everyone had smiles on their faces, and not those, “I have to smile cause it’s my job”, smiles but genuine, “I really like my job and care how you are doing.” smiles.

In a city filled with fantastic hotels, The Westin is one not to miss.

I want to thank everyone at the Westin for making my stay an exceptional one! If you’re going to be in Cleveland and are looking for an experience you won’t forget book a stay at The Westin Cleveland.
