Walk along 4th street and you’ll find numerous places to get a drink, eat, or see a show. But the Pickwick and Frolic is Cleveland’s One Stop Shop For All Things Entertainment.
The first thing I thought when I walked into the front of the building is WOW! This place is enormous and every inch of it was well thought out with fun and guests in mind.
The décor is a beautiful mix of 1930’s and modern day style with warm tones and comfortable furniture.
From the décor to the exceptional food, owner Nick Kostis knows exactly what it takes to make sure patrons of his beautifully conceptualized establishment leave satisfied and dying to come back.
I had the good fortune of meeting Nick and the manager Rick. They were both gregarious, kind, and their passion for Pickwick and Frolic was evident in the way they spoke about what each part of the business meant to them.
I got the grand tour and was shocked again at just how much they fit under one roof.
I was especially impressed with the amazing Champagne Bar. I love bubbly and there was an enormous amount of variety to indulge on.
The bar boasts Champagnes from all over the world and some that they carry exclusively.
I enjoyed an amazing dinner prepared in an open kitchen by the friendliest staff.
Each member was eager to help me with the menu, make suggestions for things I needed to try, and were wonderful to talk to.
Hint: Try the Lobster Bisque and Steamed Mussels…to die for!!
After I indulged in my delicious meal I headed downstairs to the comedy club where I was pampered with tableside service of drinks and snacks (I chose to eat my dessert while listening to the show).
I enjoyed the antics of three local comedians…one who has appeared on comedy central!
If comedy isn’t your forte then Nick offers a Murder Mystery, The Mike Polk Jr. Show “LIVE” Fueled by Jameson, Comedy Hypnosis Dazed & Amused, and Kimi’s Las Vegas Bachelorette Party Burlesque.
There is literally something for everyone all under one roof!
I entered a stranger and left having made friends. This is an absolute must when visiting Cleveland and if you don’t make the time to visit Pickwick and Frolic you will have missed the time of your life!
