Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa
Surprisingly, one can find an amazing refuge nestled in the middle of Singapore’s busy and over crowded city.
Located on Sentosa Island, Amara Sanctuary Resort is a tropical paradise where life slows down and visitors enjoy lush tropical landscapes, luxurious accommodations, delicious cuisine, and amazing service from an extremely friendly staff.
Lives Up To Her Name
With buildings restored from an English Colonial military facility, the modern design elicits the ultimate in luxury, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
During my stay I was taken aback at how “far away from the busy city” I felt. But Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa lives up to her name. Tucked in the midst of famous restaurants, Universal Studios Sentosa, Waterparks, and Aquariums, Amara Sanctuary is an oasis where guests can kick back and relax as if they were on a tropical island hidden out to sea.
The resort offers a variety of accommodation options. I chose to stay in their 1 bedroom villa. Complete with a wonderfully private pool, the escape was perfect for relaxation and catching up on some sun worshiping.
The romantic canopied covered king sized bed was gloriously comfortable making it hard to get out of each morning.
The separate living area was great for watching some TV; indulging in some much needed catch-up reading while enjoying a cup of tea, and even had a workspace for those who can’t completely disconnect. Complete with it’s own bathroom the space is wonderfully comfortable and efficient.
Located in the Sanctuary block of the resort guest will find the large Deluxe rooms with beautiful views of lush natural gardens. The Premier rooms have either garden views or gorgeous scenes of the South China Sea. Also located in the Sanctuary block, the Courtyard Suite are contemporary rooms perfect for families and couples alike.
Situated in a two-story heritage building, a colonial-styled former WWII British Sergeants’ quarters built in the 1930s and on top of a small, beautifully landscaped hill the Verandah Suite and Studio can be found. Each spacious accommodation has four-poster beds, sea breezes, and is beautifully decorated with plush linens and comfortable furniture.
Two-Bedroom suites and the Larkhill Mansion bungalow round out the accommodations that are offered by the Amara Sanctuary Resort ensuring that there is something for every visitor. Whether you are a couple celebrating a honeymoon, or seeking to marry on sight, a family looking to enjoy a quiet getaway while still remaining close to all the action, or a solo traveler looking for refuge and quiet, the resort has it all.
Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa offers three distinct restaurants. Shutters is an open kitchen where guests enjoy an endless array of breakfast choices each morning. Presenting both local international choices guests can start each day with a hearty breakfast.
Shutters is also an all-day dining restaurant where guest can enjoy a plethora of lunch and dinner choices. With an outdoor terrace offering fantastic views of the unique Amara skylight feature and the open-concept kitchen, diners can marvel as the chefs whip up delectable creations.
Thanying Restaurant presents tantalizing Thai cuisine for the most discerning palate.
Set amongst tropical landscapes the relaxed yet chic Tier Bar is a perfect space for guests to enjoy tapas, cocktails, good music, and great service. Kickback with friends and watch a sports game, talk about the day’s activities, or simply enjoy the wonderful surroundings. This relaxed space is a great way to end the day.
There are so many accommodation choices on Sentosa and in Singapore in general, why decide to stay at Amara Sanctuary Resort? The difference is the people and the quality of care guests receive while visiting. Each staff didn’t just go out of their way to make sure my stay was an excellent one, but they genuinely cared about my well-being. I witnessed the staff happily chatting with guests and taking time to go out of their way to offer assistance for every need.
I would highly recommend a stay at Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa, it’s a perfect location for any vacation need.
